When you’re talking to yourself, it helps to be kind and consider greatly what you have to say. Just like it is important to be careful with what you identify, it is important to be conscious of what you are telling yourself and why. I believe in listening to the still, small voice that is within us all.
To take the lighter end of this, as an artist, I listen to the still, small voice all the time. I listen to the steps in a painting. I have heard, many times, artists talk about a painting speaking to them. There is a sort of listening that occurs with art. It occurs with life, for perhaps all of life is an art if we let it to be.
